What Pokemon Are Unobtainable

Since Pokemon FireRed was released in the 3rd Generation of Pokemon, there were far more Pokemon in the National Pokedex than just within the Kanto Pokedex. Unfortunately, even though coded within the game, most of the Pokemon found within the National Pokedex (primarily the Johto Pokemon of the 2nd Generation and the Hoenn Pokemon of the 3rd Generation) cannot be found within Pokemon FireRed. Roughly 95% of all the Kanto Pokemon can be found naturally in the Wild (the only exception being Version Exclusives), but practically 95% of all Johto and Hoenn Pokemon cannot be found in the Wild. Because of this, players will either need to look to Trade or use a Cheating Code Device in order to complete the entire National Pokdex.
