Added:

As with all Mainstream Pokemon Games, players were able to obtain what are known as Mystery Gifts by accessing the Mystery Gift Menu on the Main Menu while playing Pokemon FireRed. In order to gain access the Mystery Gift Feature, however, you must first go to any Poke Mart in the Kanto Region or the Sevii Islands and find the clipboard on the counter. From there, enter the phrase "LINK TOGETHER WITH ALL" by using the Word Bank System. After you do, the clerk will inform that you can now use the Mystery Gift Feature on the Main Menu.

Using the Mystery Gift Feature, players were able to access two different Nintedo Events back in the day. These two Nintedo Events allowed for players to obtain the MysticTicket and AuroraTicket in order to visit Naval Rock and Birth Island. Unfortunately, it is impossible to obtain these Event Item these days without using a Cheating Code Device, thus making the Mystery Gift Feature practically useless now-a-days. Furthermore, the Mystery Gift Feature was suppose to work in connection with the Altering Cave, but the Wonder Spot Events to do so never came to be.
