How To Farm EXP

If you're looking to have your Pokemon gain the most experience possible in a short amount of time, then look no further than Elite Four. Unlike the rest of the Pokemon Trainers found throughout the game - excluding the very few that can be battled multiple times using the VS Seeker - only the Elite Four can be challenged as much as you'd like. Additionally, since the Elite Four's Pokemon will all range between Levels 51-63, you will gain a boatload of experience! Should you defeat Team Rocket throughout the Sevii Islands, the Elite Four will even update their Pokemon Teams, allowing your Pokemon to earn all the more experience!

If you're looking to instead gain the most experience possible from Wild Pokemon Encounters, then the best locations to do this would have to be Victory Road, Cerulean Cave, and through the Sevii Islands. Most of the Wild Pokemon in Victory Road will be between Levels 30-45, while Cerulean Cave will hold Wild Pokemon between Levels 45-60. Once you can travel throughout all the Sevii Islands, the Wild Pokemon can be up to Level 60+!

Furthermore, the item known as the Lucky Egg can further aid your Pokemon in quickly earning experience. If held by a Pokemon, the Lucky Egg will help them earn 50% more experience in battle. Unfortunately, it can only be found on Wild Chansey, which can only be found in the Safari Zone Area 2 and Safari Zone Center, and only at a rate of about 5% of the time.
