How To Defeat Gym Leader Blaine

The seventh Gym Leader you will face on the road to collecting all eight Kanto Gym Badges is Blaine. He is the Cinnabar Island Gym Leader, specializing in Fire Type Pokemon. Since you are nearing the end of collecting all eight Kanto Gym Badges, Blaine's Pokemon Team will be extremely difficult to defeat. However, if you did pick Squirtle as your Starter Pokemon, you will have the clear advantage over Blaine since he is especially weak against Water Types.

If you happened to choose Charmander or Bulbasaur as your Starter Pokemon, you will probably need to add an additional Pokemon or two on your way to Cinnabar Island to better help you with Blaine's Growlithe, Ponyta, Rapidash and Arcanine. Luckily, you will come across loads of Water Type Pokemon while surfing towards Cinnabar Island, the same that can be captured in order to help you defeat Blaine.
