What Is Knockout Battle Mode

Knock Battle Mode is one of four different Battle Formats found at the Trainer Tower. Unlike all of the other Battle Formats at Trainer Tower, you will need to defeat three consecutive trainers on each floor, with there being eight floors in all. Each opposing trainer will have only one Pokemon at the same level of the highest leveled Pokemon in your Party. Defeat the three trainers on all eight floors in Knockout Battle Mode to receive the Metal Coat, an Evolutionary Item that can be held by Onix or Scyther in order to Evolve into them into Steelix or Scizor, respectively, when traded.
