The Super Rod is one of three different Fishing Rods you can obtain during your journey of the Kanto Region. Unlike both the Old Rod and Good Rod, the Super Rod allows players to fish for some of the best Water Pokemon in the Kanto Region. Certain Pokemon like Gyarados, Psyduck/Slowpoke and Seadra/Kingler (depending on where you fish and what version of the game you're playing) can be found by using the Super Rod. In order to obtain the Super Rod, simply talk to the Fisherman on Route 12.
