Main Story Beginning

Last Updated:

The games begins similar to the original Pokemon Games, with Professor Oak introducing your trainer to the wonderful World of Pokemon. After selecting the name and gender of your trainer and giving the name to your Rival, your adventure will officially begin. You will start in you room within your house in Pallet Town. By going downstairs, your mother will inform you to head to the Pokemon Lab to find Professor Oak so you can obtain your Starter Pokemon.

Unfortunately, Professor Oak won't be in the Pokemon Lab should you head there. Instead, you will need to head towards the Wild Grasses on the northern end of Pallet Town. As you attempt to enter the Wild Grasses, Professor Oak will appear and take you back to the Pokemon Lab. Once there, Professor Oak's grandson will soon arrive, the same character that will be your Rival.

Because your Rival is his grandson, Professor Oak will allow you to select your Starter Pokemon before him. You will choose between Bulbasaur, the Grass Type Starter; Charmander, the Fire Type Starter; or Squirtle, the Water Type Starter. After selecting your Starter Pokemon, your Rival will select the Starter Pokemon that is actually super effective against yours.
