- Always wiretap junction boxes. I can’t stress this enough.
- Always deposit your money. Once you unlock the Consigliere associate, deposit your cash to avoid unnecessary losses in case you hit the dust.
- When taking over rackets, always target the enforcers first
- Always do the optional missions, spare informants, and racket bosses for higher income for your underbosses and in turn, more kickbacks for you. (Recruiting racket bosses require complete Wiretapping of their operations area)
- When taking over rackets, always take out the enforcers first since it lessens the difficulty of the racket’s hideout.
- When you don’t have enough money, don’t buy adrenaline shots and tac-vests. There are a considerable number of various locations where you can get them for free. Later in the game once your kickbacks are higher, you can afford to buy tac-vests anytime you want.
- When spending your money, prioritize buying upgrades first since their effect will be passive and will affect any weapon or vehicle you handle.
- You don’t need to refill your ammo unless you’re using a weapon you haven’t purchased from the arms dealer yet. Switching between weapons you currently own automatically and fully replenishes its ammo for free
- The vehicle you’re driving will be repaired to top condition whenever you enter a friendly establishment (like when collecting kickbacks or getting new missions)
- Plan ahead. Assigning a district to one of your three underbosses can be a daunting decision. When taking you’re taking down rackets, make sure to assign the rackets to the underboss who you’re planning to give the district to.
- Hard decisions come at a price. To max out an underboss’ favor, you have to give him/her most of the districts and their rackets. This may come to the cost of one of your underbosses leaving you and becoming your enemy. If you want to remain friends with them, you have to be fair in exchange of having limited access to their high level favors.
- Prioritize giving the first district to Vito to upgrade his Consigliere service. This allows his associate to pick up your kickbacks for you, saving you a lot of time and effort! In addition, assigning a district to him unlocks a couple more targets for his optional quest (I Need a Favor) which in turn can unlock the silenced weapons. These are exceptional infiltration weapons that will make stealth approaches a whole lot easier.
- After giving new rackets to your underbosses, always complete the trafficking / smuggling runs for their lieutenants to increase the max earn from those rackets. Also, complete the optional missions from your underbosses themselves as it increases their loyalty towards you. There are a total of five instances of these underboss missions: one by default, two instances are unlocked after giving them one district, and the last two are unlocked for giving them another district.
