Tiger's Jaws Pass

Last Updated:
Once you have completed the Caldera, you’ll now be able to access the Tiger’s Jaws Pass in Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin. Here you’ll get to encounter new types of enemies, as well as some interesting objectives. As you progress through the story, you’ll begin to question why Demons have been working together so far, and if there’s someone who’s actually controlling them.

In order to find answers, you’ll have to reach the Fort at the very end of a series of dungeons. The Tiger’s Jaws Pass is your starting point, so let’s see what challenges await for you through this dungeon. On this page we shall see the objectives that you'll need to clear, as well as Tips on how to finish them.

Tiger’s Jaws Pass Entrance

Upon entering the Pass, you’ll be greeted by a variety of demons already who’ going to try to stop you. Aside from your usual enemies such as Demon Rabbits and Pigs, you’ll get to fight a new enemy which is a Demon Badger. Be careful since they can cast magic and attack you from afar with different kinds of spells. Once you have cleared the first wave of enemies, you can continue to the right side of the lookout tower and find a mining spot there.

The new Badger enemy can cast spells from afar

Keep on going to the right side and you’ll encounter more enemy waves and lookout towers. Once you have reached the enemy wave at the bridge, clear them out and them climb up the lookout tower and reach the roof. If you jump up from the roof, you’ll find a box at a platform above which contains your Treasure (Ingredient) which will complete the objective.

Check the upper area of the lookout tower

Once you continue to the right, you’ll find yourself on a bridge with more waves of enemies. Your remaining objectives are to parry 20 attacks and this can be tricky. You can achieve this by attacking or using your Raiment just before an attack land on you. You can come back to this later on, and the Night objective can be completed once Sakuna is stronger later.

Defeating the waves of enemies towards the end will clear the innermost area. This is the bridge that’s right before the gate on the very right. Once you have cleared this area, you should now be able to access the next location which is the Stonethrow Hedge and Gunpowder Molehill.

Defeat all waves at the end to clear the innermost area

Depending on how much energy you have, you can check the next location already. Or you can go Home and check on your farm depending on the progress of your Rice, things can get stronger along the way so completing a harvest will help you with your progression.
