Game Controls Guide

Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is a game that has been released for PC, Nintendo Switch, as well as Playstation 4. With this, comes a variety of game controls that you can change based on the game’s settings. Most of the action comes from the game’s adventure section where you go through different areas and clearing out demons.

Since the game lets you farm as well as battle, you’ll want to be able to change your controls according to your liking. You’ll want to be able to get the best performance for your side scrolling battles, so this is where your custom controls come in the game. On this page, let's check the controls that you're about to use.

Controls that can't be changed

Across all platforms of the game, the directions are the only controls that you can change. These are tied to your W,A,S,D/Arrow Key controls, as well as your Joystick and D-Pad for consoles. However, the other actions that you can do in the game can be changed according to your preference.

Customizable Controls

Here are the different controls that you’ll be able to find in the game, we have displayed the actions and the corresponding console buttons they’re tied to. Before starting the game, you can already head to the game’s options in order for you to change these:

The controls for Farming cannot be changed through these settings, but you’ll be provided with button prompts on your screen in order for you to know which one you’ll need to press in order for you to progress. Your controls in your farm are quite simple so you shouldn’t worry too much about them.

Practicing your controls for your side scroll battles will be important for progressing through the game’s story. This is also the part in the game where you’ll need to go through in order to gather resources and other types of items.
