Rockslide Passage

In Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruino, once you have gone through Eventide Grotto and Amageshi Shrine, coming Home will trigger a cutscene that you’ll need to watch. Having dinner and then checking the world map the next day will let you discover a new area just south of your home.

At the base of the Volcano, you’ll be going through the Rockslide Passage first. Here you’ll get to have quite an obstacle course due to the number of rocks falling from different locations. Some areas here are hidden as well and they can affect your objectives. The Rockslide Passage only has the entrance area so let’s see how big it is. On this page we shall see the objectives that you'll need to clear, as well as Tips on how to finish them.

Rockslide Passage Entrance

If you check your objective list, the main goal is for you to reach the exit, and there’s also a challenge to do this within 120 seconds. You can focus on the first objective first since it’s easier and you can return here at a later time if you want to complete the second one. The remaining objectives go hand in hand since Obsidian can be obtained from the mining areas.

You’ll start off by climbing up the platform above, you should watch out for any falling rock that can get in your way. Your first mining spot should be there already in plain sight so hopefully you can get obsidian from there.

You can then continue to the upper left side and defeat the enemies you’ll see. Once all enemies have been cleared, you can jump to the left and find the second mining spot quite fast. Be careful once again since there are rocks sliding down that can hit you.

You will then follow the path to the upper right while dodging the falling rocks. You’ll have to keep on going to the right since there’s a hidden area there that will lead you to a small location that has the third mining spot. By now you should be able to complete the mining area objective, as well as the Obsidian objective. The remaining task is for you to reach the exit so you can continue your way to the upper left side.

You should find an area on the left side that has a lot of rocks at the bottom, as well as rocks falling from above. If you are able to jump across, you’ll find a box to the left side that contains luck powder. You’ll then have to continue your way by going back to the right side and going to the platform on the way to the upper right.

There is going to be an area where you can walk straight to the right and rocks will fall from above. There’s actually a hidden item above where the last rock comes out. Jump up and use your Raiment to attach to the ceiling, you should find a box there that has an Enchantment of True Strength: Strike Resistance item.

Now you’ll continue to the right side and climb up some ledges while rocks fall down. Once you reach to the top right, there will be enemy waves waiting for you. Once you have defeated all of them, you can finally exit the area to complete your objective.

If you wish to clear this within 120 seconds, you’ll have to be good at dodging the falling rocks. Combining your movement with Swallow Slice, and practicing your Raiment movement will prove beneficial if you want to complete this objective. Upon exiting, you should now be able to unlock the Noxious Dale area.
