Is there a shortcut for your tools?

Is there a shortcut button that you can use in order to access your Tools? When you start off the game, you access your tools like your Fishing Rod, Bug Net, Shovel etc. by opening your inventory in order to use them. You can learn a skill that lets you use a shortcut for accessing these tools. In order to get more pocket space, make sure that have settled your initial debt first so that you have upgraded your Nook Miles membership. Head to Resident Services and look for the machine on the corner, this is the Nook Stop.

This machine lets you purchase items, Redeem Miles, and use it as personal storage for your Bells. To increase your pocket space, choose the section to Redeem Miles. Look for the Tool Ring: It’s Essential!, This will cost you 800 Nook Miles.

Purchase it and you’ll read the guide and learn a new skill. Once you’ve learned it, you can quickly access your Tools by pressing your Left D-Pad. You can rotate through your tools by pressing Left and Right, or access a Tool Ring by pressing Up. Pressing Down will put the tool away.
