So how do you catch one successfully? Tarantulas will immediately give chase once they see you, however they will stop once you hold a Net by pressing A. In order to catch a Tarantula, you need to slowly walk towards it while hodling your net and pressing A.

Each time the Tarantula raises its legs, stop moving. Wait for the legs to go down and slowly walk towards it, always remember to stop once the legs are raised. Once you are in a good position for catching, let go of A to catch the Tarantula.
