Can you change your look after you have created your character in Animal Crossing? Thankfully, you can indeed change your look. Not only that, but more hairstyles can be obtained as well aside from the game’s default choices.

How to change your appearance

In order to change your appearance, you’ll have to use a Vanity or a Mirror. You can craft a mirror early in the game since it’s one of the recipes you’ll learn. Mirrors can be placed on top of tables, just check the size of what you have.

Once you have set up your Mirror or Vanity, interact with it. You’ll be asked if you want to change your appearance. You’ll automatically unlock 6 new hairstyles once you use this feature.

Using the Mirror

The character editor will appear, letting you completely change your character's looks. You can change your skin tone, have more hair options, and even customize face paint here.

How do I unlock more hairstyles?

You can unlock more hairstyles by redeeming your Nook Miles at the Nook Stop. Once you’ve learned them, you can use them on your Mirror. There are 3 sets of styles that you can learn so make sure you'll have enough Miles. You can have the following hairstyles unlocked:
