Yes, you can do that by pressing and holding the L2 button. You can order your companion to go to a specific spot by pressing the left DPAD or regroup with you by pressing the right DPAD. Additionally, you can order your ally to attack a specific target by aiming at that target and pressing the left DPAD. When you’re down, your gun for hire will prioritize reviving you.
