The Watering Hole

This flooded outpost is surrounded by high ground so it’s easy to scout the area. One of the best spots to approach is via the rocky outcrops to the southwest of the camp. This gives you access to the mortar nest there that you can booby trap. There are no watchtowers here but you’ll find lookouts on the roof of the buildings.

One of the rooftops has a zipline connected from the southwest vantage point. In lower difficulties, you can kill the lookout there and zipline to reach the roof. This gives you access to reach the other lookout and isolated guards surrounding the building. The tall grass surrounding the outpost makes it a bit easier to move around to stalk unsuspecting enemies. A Rank 1 and 2 difficulties, you can easily wipe out the outpost using the same tactics.

On higher difficulties, you’ll have to find a different approach. As previously mentioned in this guide, having access to a bow that can one-shot enforcers will make it easier to liberate high difficulty outposts with ease. One good tactic for dealing with enforcers in this outpost is by using predator baits. The area has a lot of local feral animals. Once you cause a commotion, you can single out the enforcers and take them out. If you’re still having problems keeping track or getting an opening to take out the enforcers, eliminate the normal highwaymen then have Timer or Horatio attack the enforcers while you encircle and get a free takedown or shot.
