There are different resources in the game, all of which are used to craft/upgrade weapons, crafting throwables, medkits and craft vehicles. You can check the list of resources you have by opening the map and holding L2 until it Zooms outs to reveal your resources list and general progression. You can pick up components inside Prosperity, some scattered unmarked ruins or houses, and marked locations in the map.
Ethanol: Used for upgrading facilities and buying maps. Primarily acquired from liberating and scavenging outposts.Carbon Fiber: Used for crafting weapons and upgrading elite-ranked weapons. Liberate and scavenge outposts.Titanium: Used for crafting weapons and vehicles. Open safes, complete expeditions.Circuit Boards: Used for crafting weapons. Complete expeditions.Copper: This is the standard currency of the game which is needed for refilling your standard ammo and special ammo. You can obtain them from a lot of common sources like containers and highwaymen.Duct Tape: Used for crafting weapons. Loot from various locations, completing treasure hunts, and expeditions.Components: Used for crafting weapons. Loot from various locations, completing treasure hunts, and expeditions.Gears: Used for crafting weapons. Loot from various locations, completing treasure hunts, and expeditions.Springs: Used for crafting vehicles. Loot from various locations, completing treasure hunts, and expeditions.Blasting Cap: Used for crafting explosives and other throwables. You can obtain them from a lot of common sources like containers and highwaymen.Black Powder: Used for crafting explosives and other throwables. You can obtain them from a lot of common sources like containers and highwaymen.Solvent: Used for crafting molotovs and other throwables. You can obtain them from a lot of common sources like containers and highwaymen.Meat: Used for crafting baits. Obtained exclusively from animals.Medicinal Plants: Used for crafting medkits and reviving fallen Guns for Hire. Acquired from Prosperity’s Healing Garden or harvested in the wild.All of these resources (except from the plants) can also be obtained from animals. The skin of rarer, tougher animals, can be traded for rare resources like Circuit Boards, Carbon Fiber, and Titanium. You can check which animal skin can be traded for a particular resource by accessing the Trade Loot option from any workbench.
