The Great Escape

Specialist: Nick Rye

Head to the marked location called Greasemonkey’s Cage. You’ll find Nick in a firefight against highwaymen. Clear the area then talk to him to start the mission.

After talking to him, he’ll lead you to his escape vehicle. You just need to follow him and deal with enemies or feral animals you’ll encounter along the way. He’ll lead you to a boathouse where a converted plane is located. Enter the pilot seat and drive the amphibious vehicle.

This vehicle has a mounted machine gun on the nose. You have to deliver the vehicle to a safe location and keep it intact through the dangerous journey. Having access to the Mechanic perk will ensure that the plane gets automatically repaired. Try shooting hostiles and enemies from a distance since the plane is not built to withstand direct impacts.

Take note that you don’t need to actively engage hostiles; if there’s a clear path, prioritize getting past them as fast as you can. Continue following the river, shooting/evading hostiles until you see the marked boathouse. Slow down and carefully dock this vehicle inside to trigger a cutscene. Mission complete.

Completing this mission also permanently unlocks Carmina (The Plane) in the boatshed. It's the same vehicle you used for the escape. It doesn’t fly anymore but can be used on both water and roads.
