What are Monstrous Animals?

These are the toughest animals found in the wild and will always sport a similar grassy skin. They also have a distinctive glowing red weak spot. When hunting these animals, always aim for the weak spot to deal the most damage.

Monstrous animals can be hard to kill but at the same time, they’re not unique. You can hunt them in their habitat over and over as needed since their skin can also be traded for rare resources needed for further upgrading elite weapons. You can buy a map of their locations from a roving trader or your Cartography facility in Prosperity. (requires Cartography LV3)

You can farm Monstrous Animals in the area marked in the map. After killing them, they just spawn rather quickly. Just walk around the area (or do something else) then run around; you should find them immediately. If you managed to kill a monstrous animal with melee or bow and arrow, you'll get twice as much skins instead.

You can only carry up to five for each animal at a time.
