Friend Safari

Overview

This is located in the northeastern corner of Kiloude City. This is the new Safari Zone where the type of Pokemon you can capture will depend on the “fields” generated by other players in your 3DS’ friend list. Each friend you have traded friend codes with will have a permanently fixed type of field and Pokemon you can capture in these fields are fixed as well. You or your friends don't need to be online to use this feature. Also, you can use your own Pokeballs when catching Pokemon in these fields.

Due to Breeding needs, having a friend with a field where you can capture Dittos is invaluable. If you’re a competitive player trying to breed the perfect battle Pokemon or you just want to breed good-natured Pokemon, you’ll probably want to get more Friend codes by exchanging them in a Pokemon Forum or community. You don’t need to keep someone in your friend list permanently to maintain access to their Friend Safari fields; you can trade friend codes with someone online, access Friend Safari for his field to appear on the list then just delete him from your 3DS Friends list.

Available Pokemon

The available Pokemon in each zone also varies by slot. For example, two of your friends' zones are both Normal Types. However, their Slot 1 Pokemon may be different from the other. Each slot has four different possible generated Pokemon. Refer to the charts below.
