Lumiose City Bug

Status: Patched

Shortly after the release of the game, Nintendo confirmed the known bug where players who saved the game in any of the main, circular roads in Lumiose City won't be able to resume their games. A patch was released a few weeks later via Nintendo eShop which fixed this bug and allowed affected players to resume their original saved files without damaging after-effects.

Wonder Trade Mystery Egg

Status: Ongoing

There have been reports of nasty "Mystery Eggs" appearing, multiplying and infecting gamesaves. According to Bulbapedia, these are usually caused by corrupted or unidentifiable data usually linked to hacked Pokemon. These eggs can multiply and infect other Pokemon in the same box as theirs. The effects are game breaking and will drastically affect your save file. If ever you got one from Wonder Trade, consider doing the following:

1. If you're watching it getting transferred via Wonder Trade, disconnect immediately.
2. If you freshly got one from Wonder Trade and you haven't saved your game yet, restart.
3. If the game is saved with a mystery egg within, DO NOT TOUCH or view it.
4. Quarantine the egg to a single box and do not put any Pokemon in the same box with it.

Wonder Trade Evolution Disappearing Skills

Status: Patched

If a Pokemon evolves after Wonder Trading and learns a new skill, both the new and old skills will be deleted. This has been fixed via patch that was released on December 12, 2013.

GTS Filter Issue

Status: Patched

When seeking for Pokemon you want, you can apply a filter to display only the trainers which seeks a Pokemon you own. Sometimes this will give the player an error "A communication error has occurred. Press the Power button, and end the game" which will force the player to shut down the game or even restart the handheld. This has been patched through Version 1.1, released on October 25, 2013.

Save Game Corruption (Digital Copies of the Game)

Status: N/A

There are reports of game save corruption for digital copies of the game. There are no further information about this aside from the initial reports of similar incidents from other digital copy of games purchased from the Nintendo eShop.
