[Chapter 2] After the scene where Mike surprises Matt and Emily, the following scene will switch to Ashley using the telescope. Matt will surprise her and you'll have the option to Mislead him or Encourage him from using the telescope.

Mislead: Matt didn't find out that Mike and Emily flirting

Since Matt is clueless, he won't confront Mike during the fight between Jessica and Emily inside the cabin, leading to the Whose Side Are You On butterfly effect.

Encourage: Matt found out Mike and Emily flirting

If you encouraged Matt to look at the telescope in Chapter 1, this particular scene will play. You have the option to challenge Mike or warn him. You can confront him first and ask tell him that you saw him and Emily on the trail. After that, you can apologize to defuse the situation.

Challenge / Warn

If you attacked Mike, the Whose Side Are You On butterfly effect will be skipped since Jessica and Emily's dialogue to each other won't occur.
