In the last part of Chapter 4 when playing as Chris, you'll come across a shack where you'll find Josh and Ashley strapped in some sort of sadistic Death contraption. You'll be instructed by someone to pull the lever to the direction corresponding to the friend you want to save.

Butterfly Effect Update

In Chapter 8, if Chris chose to save Ashley, Josh will have some word with him but their friendship will still remain stable. If Chris chose to save Josh, the latter will become hostile towards Chris and may also damage Chris's relationship level with Ashley.

Butterfly Effect Update

When Chris is running back to the lodge and fending himself from the wendigo attacks, he'll be let in by Ashley or she'll leave him out, depending on the choice you made earlier.
