Chapter 8: Three Hours Until Dawn

Once in control, turn around and enter the small shed to the right. There's a postcard here you can pick up. Examine it to get another clue (1952 Clue #17)

Once done, go to the left then drop down. Follow the tracks and along the way, you'll find another totem to the right. (Fortune Totem #4). Examine it and continue forth until you find a small crevice where you can squeeze through.

(QTE Warning!) (Death Flag!) This sequence can also cause Emily's death if you fail to press specific buttons correctly. There will also be two decision branches. Select “Go right” and “Stay On” when you get the timed decision branches. If Emily kept the flare gun, she will have the chance to use it to defend herself if you mess up too many QTEs. Take note that Emily can die in the grinder in the end of the conveyor belt if you miss the QTE button.

After successfully running away from the wendigo, watch through the long scene. Select the dialogue options you want and you'll hear knocking on the door. When given the option, have Chris cover the door. Open the door and watch more scenes.

(Death Flag!) Chris can die in the hands of the wendigo if he failed to shoot it whenever he has a chance. Also, if Chris chose to shoot Ashley at the end of Chapter 6, she won't open the door and will leave him to die outside.

Butterfly Effect Update

If Chris chose to shoot Ashley at the end of Chapter 6, she won't open the door and will leave him to die outside. You'll unlock the trophy “Ashley Snaps”

Follow the Stranger /Flamethrower guy to the shed. After discovering that Josh is missing, you don't need to explore the shed again since there are no collectibles inside. Join up with the stranger to trigger a QTE sequence. Keep shooting the wendigo whenever you have the chance and if you didn't shoot Ashley as mentioned earlier, Chris will make it safely back to the lodge.

The survivors will regroup in the basement. Ashley will see the bite wound and Mike will be given an option to shoot Emily or not. Not shooting her is the best option and will unlock the trophy "Let Em In". Doing otherwise will unlock the “Exorcism of Emily” trophy.

The cutscene will continue until Ashley decides to pick up the journal and read it. Flip through the pages of the journal to unlock additional clues, including the fact that the bite is harmless. Select “Reassure” when given the chance.

After the scene, you'll see Josh being interviewed by Dr. Hill. Select the options you like and the chapter is now complete.
