Guidance

Yellow Totems signifies a vision for a future choice. How you play will determine whether or not these prophecies come true. As you unlock Totems, "The Events of the Past" will become clear.

Guidance Totem #1

Chapter 1: While controlling Sam, you'll run across a sign about the butterfly prophecies. The game will automatically have you look at it and Sam will pick up the totem automatically after.

Guidance Totem #2

Chapter 2: In the beginning of the chapter, once you're in control of Chris, walk towards the screen to find the totem.

Guidance Totem #3

Chapter 3: Shortly after getting jumped on by Jessica, walk a bit and you'll find this totem beside the tree right in front of you.

Guidance Totem #4

Chapter 4: After pursuing Jess as she was being dragged by an unknown creature, you'll eventually reach an abandoned mining building. Go downstairs but don't enter the tunnel to the right yet. Look to your immediate left, on the ground to find this totem.

Guidance Totem #5

Chapter 5: After successfully shimmying around the cable car station with Matt and Emily, go upstairs and immediately go to the left to find another totem.

Guidance Totem #6

Chapter 6: After getting past the herd of caribou at the start of the chapter, Matt and Emily (or Emily alone) will reach the base of the fire tower. Before going upstairs, find this totem near the bench under the security light.
