Butterfly Effect: Forewarned is Forearmed
Pick up the scissors
Leave the scissors

You'll only trigger this if you examined the Light Bulb Catalog clue (Mystery Man #19) in the newly opened hallway after Chris and Ash opens the dollhouse and reads the diary. A scissor will appear out of nowhere on the shelf where you picked up the catalog. Pick it up and you'll be able to use it later.

Butterfly Effect Update

Near the end of Chapter 6, Ash and Chris will finally find Sam (or a dummy if Sam successfully escaped the psycho in the previous chapter). The psycho will be able to subdue Chris and Ashley will have the chance to plunge the scissor she picked up earlier and wound the pscyho. She will still get punched which will result to her black eye.

Butterfly Effect Update

Once the psycho has been revealed, Chris will have a chance to exact revenge upon him for punching Ashley.
