Chapter 1 - Ten Hours Until Dawn

You'll take control of Sam this time. Examine the gate first and read the note first, then interact with the wall to the left. You'll have the option to climb it Safely or Quickly. Press the QTE buttons correctly until she successfully climbs over.

She'll walk a bit and encounter a squirrel. This is the first "Don't Move!" event in the game so stay still and do what the game says.

Continue forth and you'll find a sign on a rock wall about the butterfly prophecies. You'll also automatically pick up the Guidance Totem #1 on the ground. After examining it, continue upstairs to reach the cable car station.

Approach the bag on the bench to trigger this butterfly effect. You'll be given two options. Choosing to Snoop will make Chris feel offended for invading his privacy while closing the bag will make Chris happy to see Sam. After meeting up with Chris, he'll lead you to the back of the station. On the way there, there's a glint on the wall. Examine that the find a wanted poster. (Mystery Man #1) Continue following Chris to the shooting range and the controls will shift to him.

During the shooting tutorial, a squirrel will get on top of one of the barrels. The squirrel can be targeted. Shooting it will prompt a crow attack on Sam, scratching her forehead. The effects of this Butterfly effect will take effect later in Chapter 5. For the meantime, use this chance to practice your shooting accuracy and speed.

Once you're done with the shooting range, you'll be controlling Chris next. Head to the station's door and open it. Once you're inside, check out the objects you can interact within the office if you want then join up with Sam then ride the cable car. (Safe cutscene)

You'll now be controlling Jessica. After she stands up from the bench, move her to the station's door to meet up with Chris and Sam. Interact with the controls to open the door for them. After a brief cutscene, you'll have to choose whether Jessica will Insist or Explain. Choose either.

The control will now switch to Matt and Emily. Continue forth and you'll Mike along the way. You'll need to decide again whether Matt will Threaten or Welcome Mike's antics. After a brief conversation, you'll have to choose again whether you'll Agree or Persist when Emily asks you to go on ahead. After selecting your option, the control will now switch to Ashley.

The decision whether you'll let Matt use the telescope or not will affect some dialogue and events during a confrontation later in the lodge.

You'll be back to control Jessica once again. You can have her read her book or check her phone. Choose whatever you want then a snowball fight will occur between them. You can choose whatever you want BUT DO NOT HIT the bird, since that's what was shown to you by the previous totem you picked up. Continue with the cutscene and QTEs and the chapter will be complete.
