Private Actions

Private Actions is a staple feature of Star Ocean games. This allows you to view character-driven cutscenes, interactions, and the like while also increasing the Affinity Points for the characters involved. Private Actions can be done outside of towns and cities while you’re out on the World Map by pressing Y. Take note that if there’s a story event that should happen inside a town or city, you won’t be able to trigger a PA there until you resolved it or continued with the story.

There are 107 private actions in the game, which can’t be viewed all in one playthrough since they’re tied to various characters and other conditions. A lot of them are also missable if you failed to view specific PAs before progressing with the story events.
