Here are the main conditions for recruiting T'nique:

1. Must obtained the Astral Emblem as part of the story.

2. Total party members should be six characters or less.

Head to Tatroi and continue to the arena. Enter a Rank D fight or above then win the first four battles. A challenger will butt in on the last battle. Defeat this challenger and after the battle, he’ll approach you and he’ll ask if you can take him along. This is the only chance you’ll get whether you’ll recruit him or not.

Story Progress

Your next destination is the kingdom of Silvalant, north of Van y Ille. From Tatroi, head back to Eckdart and walk around the mountain, and further north past Van y Ille until you reach the snow continent.
