This is one of the many ways to earn easy money in the game and can be done quite early, depending on your available party members and learned Skills. The idea for this trick is to be able to craft Philosopher’s Stones for selling. By default, these valuable stones sell for around 390,000 Fol, which can fetch up to 480,000 each when you Raise Price via Group Appraising.
Here are the requirements for this method:
* Reach Ionis
* Someone with Blessings of Mana Talent reach at least LV8 Alchemy
* Lezard’s Flask (buy from the item shop in Ionis)
The Blessings of Mana Talent significantly increases your success rate in Alchemy. This is available by default to spellcasters, with the exception of Mavell, who is a frontline fighter that’s capable of having this talent (possibly due to lore).
Since you’ll be separated from Millie, the earliest substitute healer/spellcaster you’ll encounter is Ioshua. However, even if you didn’t recruit Ioshua, Ronyx will have this Talent as soon as you reunite with him in Ionis.
Once you’ve reached Ionis and reuniting with Ronyx, head to the item shop and buy a Lezard’s Flask. Have Ronyx (or whoever is your assigned alchemist) then level up his Determination skill first then get his Alchemy to LV8. If he doesn’t have enough SP, you’ll take extra steps like using Enlightenment and farming EXP from random battles outside the city until he has enough.
With the Lezard’s Flask in your inventory and with a LV8 alchemist, you can now start producing Philosopher’s Stones. The Ionis item shop conveniently sells Iron (consumable item for alchemy attempts) so you can easily replenish them.
To further increase your chances with Alchemy, you can do the following:
* Craft a Triangle Flask via the Machinist Specialty
* Have someone play Goddess’ Arrival (Violin 2) in the background during your attempts.
* Have the Orchestra song playing in the background during your attempts.
Keep crafting Philosopher’s Stones and don’t forget to raise their price via Group Appraisal before selling them. Enjoy the profit!
