This end-game dungeon has 30 floors and the only save point is located on the first floor. The enemies here are very powerful and can easily wipe out your party, even if you’re high-level and have the best Equipment from the main story. In this page, we will provide some tips and pointers that help you prepare to explore this dungeon and increase your chances of survival.
First off, it’s recommended to test your party’s combat capability by doing a few random battles near the savepoint. Enemies in this dungeon give a tremendous amount of EXP, which will allow your characters to gain a few levels instantly. If you use Experience Cards, you’ll be able to gain more levels per battle. While you’re farming in 1F, it’s recommended to save after every battle. If you think you’re comfortable enough, you can proceed with the exploration.
Before heading out, make sure that your Scout specialty is set to avoid enemies. Don’t forget to turn off Enlightenment and Training since the SP and EXP bonuses provided by these specialties is not worth the reduced stats at this point, especially not in a very difficult dungeon like this.
Craft several Veda Idols using Magical Clay via Art specialty and keep a good amount of them. These items will allow your party to escape instantly if ever you’re in the risk of getting wiped out.
Equip your fighters with at least one art with AoE effects. There’s a lot of enemies in this dungeon that will surround and attempt to flank you. AoE arts will help prevent the enemies from overwhelming your fighters, while also damaging them in return.
Use the Left Flank formation and set your healer in the 4th slot so he/she will be in the lower-right corner of the battlefield. That corner of the battlefield is relatively safe, except when you get ambushed.
Prioritize equipping Star Guard to your main fighters to increase their survivability. Aside from having high block rate, it also sprays out multiple star-like projectiles that damage the attacker. At close range, this can deal a lot of damage. This Equipment can’t be crafted and can only be found in the Space-Time Laboratory and Revorse Tower. There’s a third one that can be found in B6F of this cave.
Stock up some Jewels of the Frog that can be bought from the merchant in the Oracle Room. These items will instantly transport you to the dungeon’s entrance. Things can go south very fast, especially if you’re unlucky enough to get ambushed by powerful enemies or if your fighters get flanked by several enemies at once. That’s why you should consider returning to the entrance and save after the 15th, 25th, or 27th floors. This is because you’ll be able to secure the best weapons on those floors.
Take note that after returning to the entrance, you’ll have to solve the minor puzzles to unlock the doors again. However, at least you don’t need to go out of your way to collect the treasures on the previous floors you’ve cleared.
Have a complete stock of Pet Food so you can do some emergency shopping via the Familiar specialty when needed. You’ll burn through your stock of Blueberries, Blackberries, and Resurrection Elixirs very quickly so you’ll need to have a way of replacing them on-the-go.
You have to assign a dedicated healer and take control of him/her. This will allow you to properly respond to the healing needs of your party, and even allow you to preemptively run from danger if needed. Make sure to have your healer max out the Godspeed combat skill to allow him/her to run faster.
