Added:

Project Wingman’s campaign has 21 missions in total, with each mission averaging around 10-15 minutes to complete. On a good run without restarts, accidents, or grinding, you may finish the entire campaign more or less around 5 hours. Of course, accidents will happen and you may encounter challenges but don’t worry! We’ll do our best to help you.

While we’ll offer pointers and tips, ultimately, the pilot behind the plane is still you so if you’re having problems completing a mission, try a different plane or approach, or even swallow your pride and attempt the mission on a lower difficulty. In this page, we’ll discuss how to complete Mission 20: Presidia, including the recommended aircraft, strategies, and more.

Mission Overview

New Aircraft None
Initial Objective(s) Destroy all targets: Air-to-Ground, Air-to-Air, Anti-Ship
Updated Objective(s) None

This is a lengthy mission which will consist of a large number of air, ground, and naval targets. Large airships and capital naval ships will eventually become part of the targets as the mission moves through its phases. The Chimera with its ASM will again make this battle a bit more easier and its MLAG will make quick work of individual targets.

[box color = blue]The plane you’ll use in this mission will be the one you’ll automatically use on the following mission. Thankfully, you can still change your aircraft by quitting the mission and returning to the hangar. The Chimera might underperform against the last boss since you’ll be in a one-one-one aerial battle against an exceedingly agile and fast prototype aircraft.

Mission Walkthrough

There will be several areas with groups of priority and optional targets that will be marked on the map as you clear them. At the start of the mission, take out the first group of priority ground targets and the enemy planes intercepting your forces. Take note that enemy forces will remain on the battlefield (until destroyed) as your tasks get updated. Among the first wave of aircraft that will engage you are six F/S-15. These guys can become problematic if left alone so try to take them out as quickly as possible. Work on decimating the enemy numbers so you’ll only need to sweep the remaining enemy forces before moving on.

As the allied forces approach the city proper, more targets will appear, including two airships: a Littoria-class air battlecruiser and an Arcion Mk.II class heavy air cruiser. Use your ASM to instantly bring down these birds then continue wiping out both priority and non-priority planes above the city to establish air supremacy. Once the enemy aircraft in the vicinity gets severely decimated, another enemy flight composed of a 205-A class air battleship and four SK.37s will arrive at the scene as priority targets. Take them out to update the mission objectives.

Next, you have to take out the enemy naval fleet trying to escape the port. There are no more valid targets for your ASM after this phase so you can use them to sink the carrier and the battleship. If you have any more ASM to spare, you can use those to sink the cruisers as well. Your MLAGs can easily disable most of the ships’ armaments per attack run so finish off the vulnerable hulls with a combination of STDMs and gun fire. After finishing off the fleeing naval ships, the next phase of the mission will trigger.

Guide Image

This is the last phase of the mission where you have to take out several makeshift defenses installed on skyscrapers and other buildings. There are also some choppers flying at low altitude that you can shoot down for extra credits. Some of the targets are also entrenched so you’ll need a good angle of attack to get a clear shot. There are no immediate threats in the air so you can take your time to carefully aim and destroy the targets.

After taking out all the targets, the ceasefire will be declared and a long dialogue will commence. You have to keep moving and maintain a high altitude since there’s a brief flash of light that can disorient you and make you crash (thus failing the mission) There will also be multiple missile warnings and stray missiles aimed at you so make sure you’re flying at high altitude and moving erratically to avoid getting hit. The mission will be over shortly after.

Mercenary Difficulty

There are no changes in the enemy team composition or behavior.
