Project Wingman’s campaign has 21 missions in total, with each mission averaging around 10-15 minutes to complete. On a good run without restarts, accidents, or grinding, you may finish the entire campaign more or less around 5 hours. Of course, accidents will happen and you may encounter challenges but don’t worry! We’ll do our best to help you.
While we’ll offer pointers and tips, ultimately, the pilot behind the plane is still you so if you’re having problems completing a mission, try a different plane or approach, or even swallow your pride and attempt the mission on a lower difficulty. In this page, we’ll discuss how to complete Mission 19: Red Sea, including the recommended aircraft, strategies, and more.
New Aircraft | None |
Initial Objective(s) | Destroy all targets: Anti-Ship, Air-to-Air |
Updated Objective(s) | None |
This mission will involve naval and air targets, including large naval ships and airships so the Chimera’s ASM will make this mission a lot easier. There are several air targets as well but nothing that you can’t take care of using STDMs so equip the MLAG on its two weapon slots to help deal with the numerous ground/naval targets.
As soon as the mission starts, you’ll encounter the small enemy blockade and an enemy squadron that will harass your allied ships. Your allied ships and aircraft will be very reliable in this mission, even capable of stealing kills from you. However, don’t worry since you’ll still need to do most of the work. You can eliminate the aerial threats or take out the enemy ships first. After wiping them out, head to the next battlegroup.
There, you’ll find the Eminent Domain’s sister ship and an enemy flight consisting of VX-23s. I’ll recommend disabling the armaments of the combat ships first or sinking them immediately to remove their AA threat. This battlegroup has a carrier and several heavy cruisers. Use the ASM on the carrier to prevent it from launching additional aircraft then disable/ sink the cruisers using your MLAG. Once the naval fleet has been wiped out, you can now focus on securing air supremacy.
The VX-23s are outstanding planes on their own so don’t expect to shoot them down very quickly. If you’re using the AoA Limiter, you should be able to keep up with them and get into a proper shooting position. Once all priority targets are eliminated, the mission will be updated.
This time, you’ll be facing another battlegroup, composed of three airships, a battleship, multiple Railgun LCs and PT boats. Use the ASMs to wipe out large ships, then empty your MLAG on softer targets like PT boats and ship armaments. There are no more priority aircraft here so you’ll have an easier time securing air supremacy and dominating the battlefield.
Once the big ships have been eliminated, it’s only a matter of seconds before the support ships get overrun. After taking out the priority targets, you have to clear the skies by shooting down the remaining enemy aircraft to complete the mission.
