Mission 1: Black Flag

Thank you for printing this page from www.SuperCheats.com.Remember to come back to check for updates to this guide and much more content for Project Wingman

Last Updated:

Project Wingman’s campaign has 21 missions in total, with each mission averaging around 10-15 minutes to complete. On a good run without restarts, accidents, or grinding, you may finish the entire campaign more or less around 5 hours. Of course, accidents will happen and you may encounter challenges but don’t worry! We’ll do our best to help you.

While we’ll offer pointers and tips, ultimately, the pilot behind the plane is still you so if you’re having problems completing a mission, try a different plane or approach, or even suck your pride and attempt the mission on a lower difficulty. In this page, we’ll discuss how to complete Mission 1: Black Flag, including the recommended aircraft, strategies, and more.

Mission Overview

New Aircraft T-21, T/F-4, MG-21
Initial Objective(s) Air-to-ground, Air-to-Air
Updated Objective(s) None

Mission Walkthrough

Since this is your first mission, you can only choose between the two trainer aircraft: T-21 and T/F-4. Out of the two, the latter is recommended since it can carry UGBLs. Once the mission starts, follow the onscreen tutorials.

Approach the island then take out the immediate targets. Once you’re near, continue using your guided missiles to take out the PT boats. Don’t waste your limited unguided bombs trying to destroy these small, moving targets since it won’t be worth it. Instead, try using the bomb against targets clumped together closely. Switch over to taking out the aerial targets next once you’ve thinned out the naval targets. The aerial targets aren’t that agile or hard to hit so as long as you get a solid lock, you’re good to go. Continue wiping out the red targets on your radar to move on to the next phase of the mission.

Enemy aerial reinforcements will arrive from the north while some aircraft will attempt to launch from the island. If you’re near the island, you can even destroy these aircraft before they take off. Once done, head to intercept the incoming enemy wing. These are technically newer aircraft models than what you’re using but you shouldn’t have problems taking them out using your standard missiles. After wiping out all enemy reinforcements, the third phase of the mission will begin.

In the third phase, you have to take out the ground installations on the island. There are no more hostile forces to deal with here so take your time in destroying the targets until the main target appears on the screen. Use your missiles to damage the cargo ship and quickly get out of the way. After the explosion, you just have to listen to the chatter and the mission will automatically end afterward.

Mercenary Difficulty

The island will be even more defended, which will include cruisers, and C-RAMs. The L-SAMs in the castle will be hidden behind walls and you’ll have to attack from above to destroy it. The militarized cargo ship stationed near the island can fire a lot of micro-missiles so make sure to destroy it first. Furthermore, higher-grade aircraft such as F/E-18s, F/S-15s, and SK.37s will appear as the island’s defenses and reinforcements.
