A Request Built for Two

This is the first character story you’ll encounter and a mandatory one as well. Speak with Juvia to start her character story. She’ll temporarily join as a guest character and even if you have three character slots, you’ll only have Gray as a required character.

[-] Head to the Great Plains.

[-] Take down all of the targets!

Check Gray’s Lacrima then open the region map and Fast-Travel to the Great Plains. The specific enemies you have to hunt down will be marked on the map. The golems have resistance against Ice-elemental attacks that Gray and Juvia use. After hunting down all marked enemies, you can now head back to base.

[-] Return to your base

Enter the base to trigger a cutscene. After the scene, the character story will be complete and Juvia will not become a permanent party member.

Isosceles or Love Triangle?

This second character story for Juvia becomes available at the start of Chapter 4. You’ll need Juvia, Gray, and Lucy as the required members for this quest.

[-] Take out the bandits on Capital Highway

Travel to the Capital Highway and hunt down all the marked bandits in the area. They’re all around LV20 so you won’t have problems wiping them out. After defeating all bandits, report back to the guild to complete the quest. Juvia’s Max Character Rank will also increase from 6 to 9.

Phantoms' Fate

Juvia’s third character story becomes available at the start of Chapter 7. Head to the pool to find her and Gray. Since their markers are not visible on the map, it’s easy to miss them.

[-] Raid the bandit hideout in Crocus!

[-] Return to your base.

Travel to Crocus and head to the mission marker. There are bandits roaming around in the immediate area but you don’t need to fight them. Just run past them and head to the marker to trigger a cutscene and battle. These enemies are just pushover so you won’t have problems dispatching them. After the battle, report back to the guild to complete the character story. Juvia’s max character rank will be increased to 10 as well.
