You’ll be fighting
Rogue 1v1, with the support of your respective dragons. Start by using Crimson Lotus: Fire Dragon Fist to attack and set a Counter stance. Counterattack during Rogue’s turn then Eat Flames on the following turn to replenish some HP and boost your ATK. Basically, you just have to repeat this process to build up your fairy gauge and
Awakening Gauge. Use Awakening if you want but save up your fairy gauge especially if you’re about to defeat Rogue.
For the second phase of the battle,
Lucy and
Wendy will finally join. Have
Natsu continue using Crimson Lotus: Fire Dragon Fist and Lucy attack while avoiding magic that will be drained by
Rogue. Have Wendy use Arms on the first turn as well to
Buff your party’s ATK. You can also trigger a
Magic Chain to wipe out all the eggs and deplete Rogue’s HP.
After the brief cutscene,
Gray and
Erza will arrive as reinforcements. At the same time,
Rogue will activate his White Shadow Dragon Mode and call in Motherglare to assist him in battle. We’ll now enter the third and last phase of the battle.
Motherglare will start by using its Diamond Dragon Roar which will deal high damage to your party. Have
Wendy use Wind Heal to get your party’s HP back up. You’ll be forced to focus your attacks on Motherglare first since it will automatically protect
Rogue if you target him directly. Unfortunately, this dragon can drain non-elemental attacks so that leaves
Erza with limited attack options. On the following turn, have Wendy and
Gray Buff the team’s ATK and DEF.
Use follow-up attacks when needed since these will ignore the elemental resistances of the targets. Deal enough damage to Motherglare and she will back off, leaving
Rogue vulnerable. Use that chance to use a
Magic Chain or
Awakening attack. Don’t be fooled though since Rogue won’t be that brittle and it will take a good amount of pounding to actually hurt him. Continue pummeling him with attacks and you should be able to finish him off.
