Episode 2: Breakthrough

From your starting position, you can access the healing point to the north. Circle around to the east to find a chest containing Large Salve x5.

Head south to the next walkway. There’s a small room that has a treasure chest but blocked by an obstacle. You can’t lure enemies towards this location so you have no choice but to activate Link Hunt but you have to release it early so you don’t link several powerful enemies at once. After clearing the obstacle, loot the Wizard Talisman from the chest.

Continue heading south and you’ll find an enemy blocking the path. Defeat it to clear the path. From here it will be hard to describe the locations of the items accurately so we suggest looking at the minimaps in the provided screenshots to get your bearings.

From the intersection, head to the northwest to find two obstacles. Defeat the blue imp to access the chest inside the small room. Loot the 25000J from the chest.

Backtrack to the intersection where you defeated the first imp then check another small room to the southeast. Defeat the imp guarding it then loot the Large Bottled Ethernano x4 from the chest.

Head to the large room to the south and defeat another imp (while dealing overdamage) to remove the statue blocking the small room. Loot the Revival Remedy from it. Leave the room and head west. You should find yet another chest in the corner. Loot the Protection Amulet from it.

Continue heading west and defeat the Berserker along the way. Continue heading west to reach the entrance hall. Check out the small room to the northeast corner of that room then defeat the imp to access the chest inside. Loot the 10000J from it.

Enter the next hall to the east and defeat another imp blocking a small room. Loot the Poison Talisman from it. From there, return to the entrance hall and head to the middle north. There’s another berserker blocking the path so defeat it then use the recovery point in the room behind it.

Next, navigate the corridors to the west (you’ve already explored this part earlier) then find the corridor leading north that you weren’t allowed to go earlier. Loot the Magic Perfume from the chest inside the small room then save your game. Head to the mission marker and confirm that you’re ready to start the battle. You’ll be pitted against a group of minions so you won’t have problems wiping them out.

After the cutscene, the control will be switched to Erza. You’ll only be able to control Erza alone so after checking your Lacrima, approach Kyoka to start the battle.

For this battle, you simply have to spam using Erza’s Photon Slicer. This is a pretty straightforward fight; exchange blows with Kyoka until you build up your fairy gauge. It’s possible to win this battle without using a Magic Chain but if you want to end it quickly, don’t hesitate to use a magic chain.

After the battle, the episode will end.
