Chapter 5 Requests

There’s Bandits in Them There Hills

[-] Defeat the bandits on Hakobe Mountain.

Open the map and Fast-Travel to the newly-opened area. This location has a lot of good loot but most are hidden behind obstacles that will require a fair amount of over-damage. During your first visit, some of the exits will be blocked by guards but you can still fully explore the area. There are also several upgrade materials that you’ll need to get from here as well as other Requests so fully exploring the island is recommended. Please refer to the full map of the area by following the link below.

You have to locate all bandits and defeat them in order. Head to the marked location to the southwest of the area to find the first bandit. Attack the bandit to trigger the battle and defeat this group. After the battle, destroy the crate beside it to get a Delicious Candy.

Continue to the southwest to find the next bandit. Defeat it and continue along the path. Head to the next bandit location and defeat the bandit there. Finally, after hearing Lisanna’s shrieks, head to the marked location past the hanging bridge. Approach the group to trigger another battle. After defeating the bandits, you have the option to report back to the guild or continue exploring the mountains. When you’re ready, report back to the base to complete the request and obtain your rewards.

Defeat the Giant Golem - Rank C

[-] Defeat the giant golem in Great Plains

Head to the Great Plains and proceed to the mission marker. You should see the golem blocking the path. Talk to the man to fight the golem.

This particular enemy has really high defense and HP so expect this monster to survive your onslaught, even if you used a Magic Chain during the first turn. There will also be a countdown timer which will require you to defeat this enemy within 5 turns. This should be long enough to gradually deplete the golem’s HP. The golem will not retaliate as well so focus on inflicting as much damage as you can. Buffing your team’s ATK using Wendy’s Arms spell will help. After successfully defeating the golem, report back to the base to complete the request and obtain your rewards.

Defeat the Giant Golem - Rank B

[-] Defeat the giant golem on Capital Highway

This request will become available after completing the preceding request (Defeat the Giant Golem - Rank C). Travel to the Capital Highway and head to the mission marker. Talk to the man to fight the golem.

Same as before, this golem doesn’t have a weakness but will possess really high DEF and HP. You still need to defeat it within 5 turns to defeat it. Cast Wendy’s Arms spell. If you also have Gajeel, his attacks that inflict the DEF Down debuff will also help. Use follow-up attacks and Magic Chains whenever possible to overpower this tough enemy. After successfully defeating the golem, report back to the base to complete the request and obtain your rewards.
