Welcome to our comprehensive, collectible-intensive, spoiler-free walkthrough. As a general note, make it a habit to manually save often especially if you’re not relying on guides when playing, so you can always go back to “point-of-no return” portions of the game to collect various collectibles. In this playthrough, we have enabled High Contrast Mode and Enhanced Listening so don’t get confused if you see different features in the screenshots we’ll feature in this guide. You can modify these settings anytime from the Options menu. 

Tracking Lesson

From The Forest, continue following the track until you reach a brick building. From there, turn to the right to find a gazebo. Go there first and pick up the Zoo Holiday Brochure Artifact from the bench.

Next, crawl into the opening near the chain-link fence and pick up a bottle. Throw it at the window above the sinks and climb through it. Next, pick up the Virginia Coin from the dumpster in the corner.

Pull the dumpster and use it to climb over to the roof. Jump over to the other roof then vault over to the awning past The Gate to reunite with your dad. From here, you just need to follow him until and perform the necessary QTEs to complete the sequence. Next, you’ll be in the hospital. Head straight to the operating room and open the doors to trigger a cutscene and complete this flashback sequence.
