Like any Mainstream Pokemon Game, Items play a vital part during your journey as a New trainer. Even though Hold Items no longer exist, trainers will need items for practically every other aspect within the game. From catching Wild Pokemon with the use of Poke Balls to keeping your Pokemon healthy when away from a Pokemon Center with the use of Heal Items to boosting your Pokemon's Stats with the use of Pokemon Candy, players will be using all sorts of items during their adventure throughout the Kanto Region.

When it comes to the Poke Ball Items, players can easily purchase all of them outside of the Master Ball from any PokeMart through their progression of the Main Story. Players will also obtain some sort of Poke Balls after defeating most of the trainers scattered throughout the entire region. As for the Master Ball, players will only obtain one during the Main Story after defeating Team Rocket during their takeover of Silph Co. Outside of said Master Ball, players can find more during the Post Game within the Sparkling Spots found within Cerulean Cave.

When it comes to both the Healing Items and Battle Effect Items, players can also easily purchase them both from any PokeMart through their progression of the Main Story. Players will even find and obtain a few of them in the overworld. As for the Evolutionary Stones, players can purchase all of them outside of the Moon Stone from the Celadon City Department Store. (Players can also find a few of them in the overworld.) As the name might suggest, Moon Stones can only be found in Mt. Moon (but one can also be obtained in Saffron City).

When it comes to Fossil Items, you will obtain either the Dome Fossil or Helix Fossil by defeating the Super Nerd at the end of Mt. Moon. As for the Old Amber, you can obtain one from the scientist in the back of the Pewter City Museum, only accessible by using the Chop Down Technique. From there, more Fossils can be obtain within the large center crystals on a number of floors within Cerulean Cave during the Post Game.

When it comes to both Berry Items and the number of Miscellaneous Items found within the coding of the game, they usually are found during your journey in the overworld. Some Miscellaneous Items (such as Lures and Repels) can even be purchased from the PokeMarts found throughout the game. And as for the Mega Stone Items, all of them - outside of the handful that Blue will give you before challenging the Viridian City Gym, and the ones Green will give you in Cerulean Cave - can be purchased from the Stone Seller within the Indigo Plateau Pokemon Center.

Looking to obtain loads of Berries? Check out our How To Farm Berries Page!

Players will obtain the few Key Items within the game simply by Following the Main Story accordingly. And when it comes to the vast Pokemon Candy Items, players will obtain them simply by catching and transferring Pokemon. (Players can also obtain Pokemon Candy by walking with their Pokemon within the Poke Ball Plus, and by playing the Pokemon GO Park Mini Game.)
