During your journey through the Kanto Region, you will constantly have to defeat a group called Team Rocket. Believe it or not, this "enterprise" is the true antagonist of the Main Storyline. During which, Team Rocket will do all it can in order to force Pokemon into serving them in their quest for world domination. Team Rocket will even go as far as killing a Pokemon and taking over the largest company in the region in hopes of accomplishing this very goal. Of course, it will be up to your trainer to stop Team Rocket at every turn.

On top of the waves of no-named Team Rocket Grunts you will have to defeat along your journey, there will be four main Team Rocket Members you will consistently encounter and be forced to battle: the infamous duo known as Jessie and James, the Admin of the organization with the name of Archer, and the leader of the group that goes by the name of Giovanni.
