How Do Mystery Gifts Work

Like so many previous Mainstream Pokemon Games, players will also have the chance to obtain Mystery Gifts. Unlike previous Pokemon Games, the Mystery Gift feature will be available immediately after you begin your journey. Players can continue to obtain Mystery Gifts via the Internet and Password Serial Codes, but they now can also obtain them through the Poke Ball Plus. Mystery Gift Pokemon, unlike ever before, will be placed directly into your Pokemon Storage Box.

From time to time, various Pokemon Events will be held that will distribute Gift Pokemon for player to obtain. In order to receive this type of Mystery Gift, you will need to obtain it through the "Get via Internet" feature. Sometimes, Mystery Gift Pokemon will distributed using a Serial Code given from various retailers. Obviously, you will need to use the "Get via Code/Password" Mystery Gift feature to obtain these type of Events. Finally, you can obtain a special Mystery Gift, the Mythical Pokemon known as Mew, by connecting your game to a Poke Ball Plus.
