Another
New concept introduced within this game is that of
Partner Powers, and as the name might suggest, these have more to do with your
Starter Partner Pokemon than any other Pokemon you might own. You see, while in battle during your journey, there is a chance that an icon of Eevee and a JoyCon will randomly appear. By shaking the JoyCon you are using to play the game with, a Partner Power will be activated. The higher your Eevee has
Happiness towards your trainer, the greater the likelihood
Partner Powers will appear.
If you activate a
Partner Power when your
Starter Partner Eevee is in battle, it will unleash an attack called Veevee Volley that has a Base Power that varies depending on its level of
Happiness it has with your trainer. When at maximum happiness, this attack will have a Base Power of 102. If you don't have your
Starter Partner Pokemon in battle when a Partner Power is activated, the Pokemon you do have on the battlefield will receive a boost to each of its
Stats by one stage.
