Walkthrough

After defeating at least six of the Master Trainers scattered throughout the Kanto Region once you have defeated the Pokemon League, you will finally be able to find and battle the Pokemon Trainer known as Red. Back in the First Generation Pokemon Games, Red was the original character that defeated Team Rocket and who later became the Kanto Region Champion. He is one of the strongest, if not the strongest, trainers in the entire game.

You need to defeat six Master Trainers before being able to find Red because this will prove to him that you have mastery over six Pokemon Species and that you have six of the strongest Pokemon Species in the entire Kanto Region. From there, he can be found waiting outside the Pokemon League found within Indigo Plateau. Once defeated, you will earn the Battle Master Title and Red will disappear; however, he can be found and battled again in that same spot each and every time the Elite Four has been defeated in a rematch.
