How To Battle Pokemon Trainer Mina

After departing from the S.S. Anne directly before challenging the Vermilion City Gym, you will encounter a Trainer by the name of Mina. Believe it or not, Mina is actually a Trial Captain back in the Alola Region, that region's version of a Gym Leader. She will mention how she was sidetracked with her painting, and now she has missed the ship. With nothing better to do, she will challenge you to a battle. She will battle with her Level 21 Jigglypuff and Level 22 Mr. Mime.

After defeating her, Mina can be battled on a daily basis in the same location. Each time you defeat her, she will reward you with a Bottle Cap. After defeating the Elite Four, Mina will battle you with a much stronger version of her original team: Level 54 Wigglytuff, Level 54 Mr. Mime, and Level 55 Alolan Ninetales. She can still be battled on a daily basis after defeating the Elite Four, and she will still reward you with a Bottle Cap each time you defeat her.
