Route 5

Walkthrough

After defeating the Cerulean City Gym and have obtained the S.S. Ticket from Bill, you will need to make quick work of the Team Rocket Grunt causing trouble in Cerulean City. After you do, the passage to Route 5 will become accessible. Route 5 is home to the Pokemon Day Care Center and heads south of Cerulean City towards Saffron City; however, since Saffron City is blocked at this point in the game, you will need to use the underground path at the end of Route 5 to get to Route 6. Just outside the Underground Path, you will meet with your Rival and give him your extra S.S. Anne Ticket. Wild Pokemon can be found on Route 5 before you do.
