The Shiny Charm is a very rare item that increases the likelihood of finding Shiny Pokemon in the wild. Believe it or not, the Shiny Charms makes it 3x more likely to find Shiny Pokemon, improving the odds from 1 in 4,096 to 1 in 1,365.3. Couple this with the newest mechanics of Catch Combos and Lures, and finding Shiny Pokemon within game this is far easier than past Mainstream Pokemon Games!

Because the Shiny Charm is such an amazing item, it takes a grand accomplish in order to obtain it. In the Mainstream Pokemon Games, this achievement is none other than completing your Pokedex. Luckily, you only have to find a little over 150 Pokemon to complete the Kanto Pokedex, making is easier than ever before to obtain the Shiny Charm! After catching every Pokemon found in the Pokedex, head over to the Game Director found in one of the buildings in Celadon City to received the Shiny Charm. Happy Shiny Pokemon hunting from there!
