Master Balls are the best type of Poke Ball a trainer can get their hands on, automatically capturing any Pokemon when thrown and landed in a Wild Pokemon Encounter. Unfortunately, however, you will only obtain one Master Ball during the Main Storyline of this game after defeating Team Rocket in the Silph Co Building found in Saffron City. It's a little disappointing that players will only have the guarantee of obtaining one Master Ball during their journey; however, not all is yet lost. You see, it is still possible to farm Master Balls within this game, just at a much later point in your adventure.

After defeating the Elite Four, you will earn access to Cerulean Cave now that you are the Kanto Region Champion. Within Cerulean Cave, you will find various Shiny Spots on the second floor of the cave that will reappear each and every time you leave and enter the level. These Shiny Spots hold random hidden Items, some as rare as Master Balls. By constantly leaving and entering the second floor of Cerulean Cave, players will have more chances at obtaining additional Master Balls. Now there is no guarantee you will obtain a Master Ball or even multiple Master Balls all that quickly, but this method yields far greater results than previous Mainstream Pokemon Games that used a lottery system for players to obtain extra Master Balls.
