Much like how you can customize how your trainer will look, you will also be able to fully customize how your Starter Partner Pokemon appears as well. Just like how you will obtain outfits from characters in the game in order to dress your own character through Trainer Customization, so you will also be able to do with your Starter Partner Pokemon. While these outfits will come in specific sets, they do not have to be worn together at the same time, meaning players can mix and match the articles of clothing they desire to have their Starter Partner Pokemon wear. Players can fully customize their Starter Partner Pokemon by accessing the Clothing Trunk in the Items Section of the game.

In addition to being able to select what pieces of clothing your Starter Partner Pokemon wears, you will also be able to purchase extra accessories from the Celadon City Department Store for it to adorn as well. Furthermore, players will also be able to style their Starter Partner Pokemon's haircut by utilizing the touch screen when Bonding with their Starter Partner Pokemon. (This can only be done when the Nintendo Switch is in Handheld Mode.)
