Last Updated:

On top of the New Wild Pokemon Encounters found in Pokemon: Let's Go, Eevee, the game will also contain new Capturing Mechanics when in battle with a Wild Pokemon, the same that is found in Pokemon GO. No longer will players need to weaken a Wild Pokemon in order to better catch it; instead, a capture screen will immediately appear and players will begin throwing Poke Balls at said Wild Pokemon.

Players will be able to throw their supply of Poke Balls at a Wild Pokemon by using either a Switch JoyCon or the Poke Ball Plus, with both devices having motion detection to mimic a player's throw. The better one throws the Poke Ball into the circle around the Wild Pokemon, the higher the likelihood of capturing it. Should two players be playing the game together, they can obtain an automatic capture of a Wild Pokemon if they each have a perfect throw synchronized with one another.
